What to Expect From Periodontal Appointments at Viruet Periodontics
Your first visit here at Viruet Periodontics will typically last about one and a half hours and will begin with an evaluation of your medical and dental health history. Then Dr. Reyes-Viruet will give an examination to check for signs of periodontal disease, such as bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, and TMJ. During your first visit, you will be able to receive a diagnosis regarding your gum health, after which Dr. Reyes-Viruet will discuss a treatment plan with you. Dr. Reyes-Viruet takes extra care to ensure each patient is satisfied with their care.
To help your visit go as smoothly as possible, please come prepared with the following information:
- A list of any or all medication that you’re presently prescribed and taking
- Your dental insurance information
- Patient forms filled out (or you can arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to fill your forms out at the office).
