Soft Tissue Lasers

Soft tissue lasers are used for periodontal (gum) surgeries. These lasers are more efficient, cause less discomfort, promote a faster healing time, and decrease the risk of infection, providing a better outcome for each patient.

Digital X-ray

Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays immediately on a computer screen allows Dr. Reyes-Viruet to help you better understand your treatment. Digital x-rays are instant, so there is no longer a need to develop the film. They save time and increase patient care.

Cone Beam CT Scan

To give our patients the best treatment possible, Dr. Reyes-Viruet provides a cone beam CT scanner right in our office.

As one of the most state-of-the-art developments to the dental industry, the cone beam CT scan provides 3D images with superb accuracy and detail, making it an extraordinary advancement in implant dentistry. Not only can we perform delicate surgeries with extreme accuracy, giving our patients a safer surgical experience, but these 3D scans also help us detect any potential issues that may arise in the head or neck areas.

Panoramic Imaging

As with traditional digital dental x-rays, panoramic imaging is an important diagnostic tool used to capture images of your mouth. Rather than focusing on a singular area, panoramic x-rays capture a view of your entire jaw structure, including your sinuses and jaw joints. Not only will it show typical dental issues occurring inside the mouth, but can also look for bone abnormalities, tumors linked to oral cancer, advanced periodontal disease, impacted teeth, infections and fractures.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Using Electronic Medical Records, our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to patient information when needed for insurance records while providing a secure filing system.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. We use the latest technology to detect changes in oral tissue consistencies and/or lesions. The doctor shines a UV light into the mouth to detect unhealthy tissue. Healthy tissue looks lighter under the light while spots of bad tissue appear dark. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.

Ultra Quiet Electric Handpieces

These handpieces provide less vibration and noise than traditional dental drills. They are quieter and more efficient in tooth preparation, making dental procedures shorter and more manageable.

Oraqix® Needle-Free Anesthesia

We offer needle-free pain relief for many dental procedures. Oraqix® is a needle-free anesthetic that is administered topically and below the gum line. It is effective and efficient for many dental procedures and offers our patients a needle-free alternative to traditional anesthetics.

We may recommend this alternative anesthesia for several reasons, including:

  • A needle-free option is preferred over traditional anesthetics.

  • Numbing occurs quickly, usually within 30 seconds.

  • The sensation of numbness usually lasts about 20 minutes, so normal sensation is returned by the time your appointment is completed.

  • Oraqix is site specific, which allows the doctor to selectively numb specific areas of the mouth.
