Soft Tissue Lasers

Dr. Reyes-Viruet uses a soft tissue laser to perform gum (periodontal) surgeries. The laser is precise, minimizing discomfort for the patient and enabling faster healing. Treatment with the laser is also more efficient than traditional gum surgery and can lead to a better outcome.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays emit far less radiation than traditional film X-rays, providing instant, highly detailed images of the patient’s teeth and jaw. Dr. Reyes-Viruet can more accurately diagnose a patient’s condition using digital X-rays, and she can easily show the X-rays to the patient on a computer screen to help them better understand their issues and treatment.

Cone Beam CT Scan

To give our patients the best treatment possible, Dr. Reyes-Viruet provides a cone beam CT scanner right in our office.

As one of the most state-of-the-art developments to the dental industry, the cone beam CT scan provides 3D images with superb accuracy and detail, making it an extraordinary advancement in implant dentistry. Not only can we perform delicate surgeries with extreme accuracy, giving our patients a safer surgical experience, but these 3D scans also help us detect any potential issues that may arise in the head or neck areas.

Panoramic Imaging

As with traditional digital dental X-rays, panoramic imaging is an important diagnostic tool used to capture images of your mouth. Rather than focusing on a singular area, panoramic X-rays capture a view of your entire jaw structure, including your sinuses and jaw joints. Not only will it show typical dental issues occurring inside the mouth, but it can also look for bone abnormalities, tumors linked to oral cancer, advanced periodontal disease, impacted teeth, infections and fractures.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Our office uses EMR to provide Dr. Reyes-Viruet and our staff with immediate access to your medical information. EMR also makes it easier and faster to use your information when filing insurance paperwork. It reduces paper usage and is more confidential and secure than paper records.

Oral Cancer Screening

Early diagnosis of oral cancer is vital to being able to properly treat it. A special UV light device helps us diagnose areas in your mouth that could be cancerous. Potential problem areas appear darker under the light, while healthy tissues appear lighter. We can then take a sample of the suspicious tissue and sent it for analysis. This can help us get a jump on the problem before it develops into a bigger issue.

Ultra Quiet Electric Handpieces

No one wants to hear the sound of a drill in the dentist office. We use quiet handpieces that produce less vibration and noise than standard dental drills. They also make procedures more efficient, meaning less time in the dental chair and a more manageable treatment overall.

Oraqix® Needle-Free Anesthesia

We offer needle-free pain relief for many dental procedures. Oraqix® is a needle-free anesthetic that is administered topically and below the gum line. It is effective and efficient for many dental procedures and offers our patients a needle-free alternative to traditional anesthetics.

We may recommend this alternative anesthesia for several reasons, including:

  • A needle-free option is preferred over traditional anesthetics.

  • Numbing occurs quickly, usually within 30 seconds.

  • The sensation of numbness usually lasts about 20 minutes, so normal sensation is returned by the time your appointment is completed.

  • Oraqix is site specific, which allows the doctor to selectively numb specific areas of the mouth.
